BAD KNOBS FOR CHILDREN

I love my new stove except the cooktop isnt my favorite story for another time. Why are the control knobs NOT child safe??? Or my stove is defective. The knobs easily turn without having to push them in. My 3 year old grandson has turned the cooktop on a number of times. When visiting we have to block access to the stove which is difficult with an open kitchen. Ive also accidentally changed a setting while cooking just because I touched the knob while stirring something. This is a serious safety hazard Ive been looking for child safe replacement knobs but cant find any for my model stove. LG engineers made a huge mistake with the knob controls or my stove is defective.

We purchased this unit through home depot. I love how well the double oven looks and works but hate the cooktop. It doesnt clean east and it was delivered with a chip in it. Not only Will home depot not help but LG hasnt done anything either.

No one knowsabout recall?

LG Double Oven Range 1/16/2023

I called for a repair due to the fact that my burners are too hot and even on low #2 or 3 food will burn. Burner does not seem to reset to lower number. It is difficult to book as pan and food burn--burn marks in pan and food has to be removed rapidly to prevent burn The oven also is not workiing properly as food placed in the oven ends to burn toward the back of the dish or pan. Cakes have one nicely done side but back edge of cake will either be very dark or burnt. Now I have noticed a recall on LG ranges but not on my #. Technician says all is good but obviously it is not. I have cooked for over 60 years I am not a novice and know when something is not doing what is right.

Not too happy with LG products.

We purchased our first LG appliances..stove and refrigerator in late February. The oven wouldnt heat past 300 degrees. Service was out 4 times and it was finally fixed on May 4th. The day after that the craft ice maker froze up and it no longer works. My service date for that is June 3rd. Hoping that gets fixed with 1 service call. I will be needing a new washer and dryer next but will not even consider LG or Big Sandy Superstore

If it were just for the stove and oven features this is a great stove. My controller board failed just after the warrantee ended about 4 months after. I worked with LG support and they were VERY helpful ... but cant help me. Too bad. I like LG. I own LG TVs an LG DIshwasher and an LG washer AND dryer. Oh well ...

Great double oven range

We purchased this range about one month ago and are very pleased. We enjoy the double oven feature where each oven has completely independent controls. The various options for convection baking and for broiling are very useful. Performance has been great so far. We recommend one design change. The warning lights for Burner On and for Hot Surface are located on either side of the front panel. One or the other light is obscured by knobs if one stands slightly to the side. These safety lights should both be in the middle of the panel where they can be seen easily from any viewing angle.

Double oven is great idea . . . challenging to use

I really wanted a double oven with convection. This one looked great in theory. But the convection is the bottom oven. This door is very low to the ground. Its fine now but I sure hope I keep my flexibility Also I have a small dog and a grandchild - opening this very low over door is a little scary I have to make sure both are far away before opening the lower oven. I was pleasantly surprised at the space in the lower oven. I roasted two large prime rib roasts in it. They fit and turned out great. So the ovens function well its just the practicality of the bottom oven being SO low. The burners seem to take a long time to warm up - then get too hot. Im getting used to them.

I understand the long wait. Still waiting for my LG refrigerator. Installation went smoothly. Registration was the problem. Could not find the serial number. Pulled the unit out from the wall and found nothing not where the manual said nor any place ie doors etc.. Without registration you cant get an extended warranty. The dealing finally provided a serial from shipping records. With all that behind me the range has been 5 star.

Beautiful stoveknob issue

The stove and oven are great. Works very well especially the fast heat burner. However the knobs are too flimsy. If you lean across the stove to reach the microwave the knobs turn too easily and next thing you know a burner is on. Yes there is a lock feature but that is annoying to put it on constantly.
